  Great service!

  A management company in the valley recommended Steve to me last year (I own a few rental properties myself). I have used Steve's services 3 times so far and have been impressed with the quality of his service and the end result each time. Steve is very responsive in emergency situations and incredibly thorough when explaining a diagnostic, various options, and associated cost. Initially I went with him because he was the lowest bidder but he has done a superb job each time. I plan on continuing using his services in the future.

  Great HVAC GUY!

  I fix and flip houses for a living. And I have worked with a few HVAC guys but I have to say that Steve and his crew are the best! They are always on time and very knowledgable about their products. My electrician messed up the electrical to the furnace reversing the polarity. Well, my electrician would only way "I didn't do anything, call your HVAC guy". So I did and Steve was there in a jiffy (coming out during a snow storm). And, just as I suspected, my electrician did screw it up. Steve helped us rectify the problem and now all is well. I won't be using any other HVAC guy...ever! Steve gets all my business now.   Wow what a great experience! I just had American hvac replace my furnace with a new very high efficiency unit as well as add a/c to replace my swamp cooler and a last minute humidifier unit install and I am so happy with the finished product. Steve and Robin from American hvac are top notch professionals and went the extra mile to do the job right and at a price WAY cheaper than the other bids I got. I am a mechanic myself and I know good work and quality craftsmanship when I see it. I have total peace of mind after seeing the quality of the work and the in depth explanation of the system and the different components I got from Steve. I couldn't be more satisfied.

  American HVAC installed 2 new heaters in my recently-purchased 70 year old duplex that still had the original equipment. The work was challenging for a number of reasons: one of the heaters was in a bad place and needed to be moved; a flue needed to be installed; one of the bedrooms didn’t have a vent and needed heat routed to it; one of the heaters was larger than its enclosed space and needed to be cut out. American HVAC did the work professionally and on time. I am very happy with the results, as are the residents. They made the duplex safer and more comfortable and more energy efficient. They kept the duplex clean and left no trace of their having been there, other than their excellent work. Their pricing was competitive and their people were friendly and skilled.

  Best quote of 4 different companies! Steve was very quick to answer and return our calls. He spent a lot of time in our home helping us decide what equipment would be best for us to invest in.   Purchase of furnace & AC unit from American HVAC

  Steve Short, the owner of this company does what he says. I recently purchased a brand new Day & Night 95% efficient furnace and Day & Night air conditioner from him and was very satisfied with the product and installation. Steve's attention to detail along with an experienced staff left me feeling well taken care of. Plus, his prices are much better than the four other dealers who also bid on my job. I can see why he does NOT need a paid for approval rating.

  Great timely service for an out of state home owner!

  I found Steve and American HVAC on KSL. If you look at his reviews on KSL you will see that he is the most reviewed HVAC service in the Salt Lake City area. Anyway, I had a house that was being sold and needed the hot water vent adjusted. Another HVAC company (very well reviewed on KSL and Yelp) came over and gave me a price of $850. The job seemed simple and my realtor recommended American HVAC so I gave them a call. Steve got on it right away, did more than required bringing the vent up to code, and invoiced me right away so we could close the house. He was on it from the beginning and truly understood our constraints and timing. Steve did a great job!

  From my initial call for a quote to getting the service done went extremely well. Steve was wonderful to work with as was his crew. Everyone was very pleasant and treated my home like their own. I had a new furnace and A/C installed end of April. Wanted to get a few hot days in before writing the review as I had a nightmare situation previously with a different company. We've had a few hot days and cold days and the units have worked flawlessly. I believe I got a good price for great work. I would most definitely recommend American to anyone.

Second, the workman ship was incredible, every thing looked better than promised. As a helpful hint, ask for Robin as your installer, and pick up lunch on one of the days they are exceeding your expectations as a professional installer.

  Great Value Even Greater Service

  I got a bid over the phone with him and he asked if I was ready to move forward with this now. I answered him with a "I've got other bids that came in couple hundred dollars cheaper". Of course, he inquired and I gave him two other bids and he gets huffy and upset and says, "It's not worth my time" and hangs up on me. So, that was interesting. It's common sense that everyone should get multiple bids and as a business man, should be able to at least match competitors pricing. Oh well, I took my $2000+ to a competitor and I'm happy.

  Great service and products

  First off I just want to say that Steve is great. Showed up a few minutes late, but stuff happens. He gave me a great quote and said he would put the A/C unit where we wanted it even after other companies said they couldn't put it there. It was extra work where we wanted it as we didn't want it on our back stamped patio. Steve gave us the best quote for the same units as the other places and beat the prices by a couple thousand dollars. He kept us up to date on what was going on and even upgraded our equipment for free as the unit he quoted us for was no longer available so we got the next step up for the same price. The install crew showed up on time and completed the Furnace and A/C install in a day and it looks and works great. I couldn't be happier with the service and equipment. Have already recommended American HVAC to a few other people.

  Let me tell you about my experience with American HVAC. They are a Utah County company, but that didn't stop Steve from coming all the way up to South Ogden to visit with me and discuss my Heating/AC needs. My 2 story house has 2 furnaces and we have lived with the "Swamp Cooler" for 31 years. It was time for a change. As we looked over my situation, I could tell that Steve was really concerned with giving me the best options for my home. I had some competitive bids, and the bid I got was by far the best for the money. We scheduled the install and then the best happened. his crew came ON TIME and completed the job in the time specified. They were professional, courteous, funny, knowledgeable, hard working and very thorough. They even put down tarps and plastic carpet protection in the areas they were working. I am 110% satisfied American HVAC.

  They were great to work with! When my furnace went out, Steve was willing to come out on a Sunday and they were available to install a new furnace the next day. I had another company give an estimate, and Steve's price was considerably better. He was also noticeably more knowledgeable and didn't make an uncomfortable lengthy sales pitch like the other company. To get my furnace out, a water heater had to be removed and his installers moved it and hooked it back up for me. They got everything done in a day and Steve emailed me detailed instructions including links to the websites for the rebate and warranty registration. I highly recommend them!

  Furnace Replacement

  My furnace broke so we needed a new one fast since winter is approaching, After looking at quite a few different companies, we decided to go with American HVAC and couldn't be happier. I had done enough research to know Steve was giving me a fair price. I called him back on Tues and he had a crew of six on Fri replacing both furnaces in just about 6 hours. Awesome especially when both other companies said it would be a two day job. The work is top notch and I was glad to give my business to someone who wanted it.

Mr. Short came out on a Sunday to give me a second opinion when I had had another company “fix” my furnace and it broke again the same day. I will recommend American HVAC to anyone who values honest business dealings and professional courtesy. The installation team was very professional and on time. They cleaned after themselves and left my house cleaner than they found it. They explained the system, how to apply for rebates and how to register for extended warranties.   Great service, prompt and competent

  We had Steve and his company do work for us a while back on a different home. So when one of our furnaces started "blowing up" whenever it would turn on we decided to call him back. At my request they checked out the other furnace too. I decided to replace both (they were both over 30 years old). We made an appointment for 2 days later and he and his team replaced both furnaces in one day! Steve even knocked down the price as we were getting 2 at once. They placed clean tarps on the wood floors to keep it clean (and from scratching) and plastic on the stairs. Each of the men who were here said hello and got to work. I had to be in and out all day and I felt I could trust them to be in my home. They were always quick to answer any questions and walk me through operations. In the end it was a great experience.
