  Steve was recommended from a friend of my husbands when our furnace blower finally died after several times of going and stopping. We were told by several companies who all came and looked at the furnace that we could replace the blower motor for about $350. The furnace was about 40 years old so we figured that we really should get a new one and asked each company for an quote. The first company was very local and we had a friend working there and I figured this would be our best bet, however, when the quotes came in, the furnaces in the quote were all single stage burners and the cost was up near $2000. Steve got us a two stage burner model and installed it for $1400. His technicians showed up on time the next morning and I really appreciated their attention to detail and friendly attitude during the installation. I definitely will recommend them to our friends and family.

  American HVAC installed a new furnace, AC and air intake/return into the upstairs hall (I didn't have one before) for my two-story residence. As far as system performance, it works better than great! Steve Short and his crew (Robin on the furnace and Matt on the AC) are true professionals. Not only is their work the best I've seen but they took the time to answer all of my technical questions. Steve, Robin and Matt excel at what they do. But what most impressed me was the ducting that was installed. One word best describes it; Slick. The ducting was run from the basement, through the garage to the second level of my home, into a bedroom closet and exits into the upstairs hallway. Essentially, I lost no closet storage space. Which is why I call it Slick. And by the way, even with the extraordinary effort that was put into this, out of the four bids I secured, American HVAC came in the lowest. Andrew J. Hart, P.E.   I called Steve on a Sunday morning, because my furnace had quit. Steve said he could come up in the afternoon. He listened as I told him what had been going on with my furnace, then he gave me some suggestions to try to troubleshoot on my own. Following his suggestions, I got the furnace working for another couple of days. Then it quit again. I called Steve, he came up that afternoon, found a couple of problems, one being the circuit board. He explained that the repairs would be almost half the cost of replacing the furnace, and recommended I replace it. Steve gave me a written quote, and gave me some options for the replacement furnace. I thought about it and called him back later that evening and he installed the new furnace the next day, along with a whole house filter, in less time then he quoted me. The place was spotless after the job was finished. He explained how everything worked and even replaced my thermostat for no additional charge. I am very pleased.

  My furnace went out over the weekend. I called several companies to get bids. When I talked with Steve, he was the most direct and honest of them all. He made me a great offer and after taking the time to discuss options - I actually bought up 2 models on my furnace and committed to reaplcing my AC in the spring with him. His crew came in the next morning, prepped the work area with carpet runners and got to work; worked through lunch and installed it with great care and quality. Steve then followed up personally to ensure 100% satisfaction and then sent me instructions on getting a $400 thermwise rebate from Questar, getting registered for my 10 yr warranty and leaving a great impression for life. I started this process wishing I had a friend in the business, now I do. Highly recommend Steve and the Day & Night furnace that he put in. Finally warm again in the house... now only if it was warm at work today!

  Exceptional Service

  After a long, hot summer we decided that the old swamp cooler just wasn't cutting it anymore. We needed to upgrade to central heat and air conditioning. I read some reviews of the big HVAC companies with large advertising budgets (you all know who they are). I wasn't very impressed with the customer satisfaction ratings they were getting. When I read the reviews for American HVAC, I was surprised at how well recommended Steve's service was. Almost too good to be true I thought to myself. Well, long story short, I gave Steve at American HVAC my business. I'm here to tell you that all those good reviews are true. Steve gave me an honest bid and he and his installers did a neat, clean, and flawless install. The A/C works fantastic!

  Steve, with American HVAC, has been great. He helped me build my house 5 years ago. Subcontractors are not always the most reliable, but he was always reliable. He worked hard and got the job done. If there was a change in his schedule, he would always call. Steve would always show up when he said he would. Since then I have referred him many times. I haven't had anybody dissatisfied with his work. He has also done repair work and maintenance for me. Steve is always fair, and I feel that he is very honest.

I will use American HVAC again when my second AC needs replacement.

  Called, and explained my issue, and Steve goes, we typically only charge $40 for diagnose fee, however because we are slammed, we will have to charge $90 to get you in. Pretty ridiculous!

  I recently had American HVAC install a new heater and ac unit. I have to say I am very pleased with how things turned out. Steve (the owner) discussed a couple problems that may arise and we agreed if they did I would cover the expense. Well, one of them did but Steve stepped in, called someone in and solved the problem at his expense. His guys he had doing the install were very nice and respectful, and best of all they were on time. I would highly recommend these guys.

  Great HVAC GUY!

  I fix and flip houses for a living. And I have worked with a few HVAC guys but I have to say that Steve and his crew are the best! They are always on time and very knowledgable about their products. My electrician messed up the electrical to the furnace reversing the polarity. Well, my electrician would only way "I didn't do anything, call your HVAC guy". So I did and Steve was there in a jiffy (coming out during a snow storm). And, just as I suspected, my electrician did screw it up. Steve helped us rectify the problem and now all is well. I won't be using any other HVAC guy...ever! Steve gets all my business now.   I called for AC repair and Steve said that our furnace had to be replaced and was dangerous. He insisted it was leaking CO, that the CO tests we had were wrong, put a big CONDEMNED sticker on the furnace. He said we couldn't use the AC until we replaced it. My wife was the only one at home and said she needed to talk with me, was scared, so he left, but not before disabling the furnace by loosening the main fuse without removing it (looked like it was still in), and even after I put it back in, the AC that worked most of the time stopped working at all after he left. It was over 100 degrees. When we didn't call him for a replacement he called after a while and said he could do a temporary fix for a couple hundred. I wanted a second opinion and he ended up saying he should have charged me the $50 and hung up. Another furnace guy came out 2 days later and said it was a $20 part that needed replacing. He fixed it. AC and furnace are still working great now.

  Furnace Not Working

  The furnace in my daughter's condo in Orem has been acting up for the past few weeks. We were down visiting her and I noticed that it kept coming on and then shutting down and would not get the condo warm. I called American HVAC and Steve worked us into his schedule that same afternoon. He checked the furnace and discovered a problem with a sensor. He was able to fix it onsite and also gave me some troubleshooting tips for future use. It's an old furnace and we will need to replace it in the near future. I would certainly plan on using American HVAC in the future.

  Top Quality, Prompt Service

  As I property owner who lives out of state, I was having a lot of trouble connecting with repair people to fix my furnace. I picked American HVAC because of the other reviews. I left a message for Steve, whom I believe is the owner, and he called me back within ten minutes. I spoke with him on a Tuesday morning and by Friday that same week, a new furnace and air conditioning unit were installed in my rental property. He had successfully coordinated a time with the renter to assess the damage, called me promptly each step of the way discussing my options and giving me good information about the system, how it worked and what was needed. I did not feel like he tried to sell me on anything. His pricing for the new furnace and ac unit as well as the labor was better than I could have hoped for, even with me opting for something mid-range and not just going the cheapest I could go. Customer service, equipment pricing, and labor were of the highest quality. I highly recommend this company.

  I had American HVAC replace my central air in June. They did a great job at a great price. They had to disconnect my water heater to get the job done but they stayed late to make sure we had our water heater by shower time. Steve gave me a few options and actually recommended the less expensive unit for my home and explained why it would perform just as good as the more expensive unit. They actually fixed some problems with my furnace sheet metal that the previous company had caused for free. Andrew.

  Review: I am a home builder and I use American HVAC Air Conditioning to do complete homes for new construction. I have used them for my personal home as well. I do not think I have ever had to call them back for a problem with the equipment they installed or work they did. Their work is always up to code and passes inspection.
